Firstgov 
The U.S. government's supersite clearinghouse for more than 20,000 government sites with more than 35 million web pages and a new search engine, Fedsearch--donated by Inktomi chief scientist Eric Brewer. Significant areas of Firstgov include A-Z Index of U.S. Government Departments and Agencies and Information By Topic.
GPO Access 
The Government Printing Offices' own Gateway to government information. GPO Access databases contain the full text of selected information published by the U.S. Government, including such things as the Federal Register, Congressional Record,  and the U.S. Code. You may access An A-Z List of Databases here; or a list of Federal Resources Organized By Topic here.
students.gov  
Students.gov was developed as an interagency cooperative effort under the leadership of the U.S. Department of Education as part of the National Partnership for Reinventing Government's Access America initiative. The site is designed as a student gateway to the Federal government. Online information and transactional services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Major areas include, planning and paying for education, career development, military service, Government 101 , and community service.
DocsCite 
A JavaScript program that generates some types of bibliographic citations for Goverment Publications in either APA or MLA citation format. This site is extremely JavaScript dependent, do not attempt to access it unless you have JavaScript enabled on your browser.
