Select 20th Century American or 20th Century British from the collections menu; includes 50,000 poems from 300 American poets, and 600 volumes of poetry from 283 British poets.
ABI/Inform Global  includes Hoover's Online

Latin American Women Writers 
Alexander Street; The full images of 100,000 pages, authored from 1700-present. Authors from the 19th century include: Clorinda Matto de Turner (Peru), Juana M. Gorriti (Argentina), Gertrudis Gomez de Avellaneda (Cuba), Delmira Agustini (Argentina), and Julia Lopes Almeida (Brazil), among others. FirstSearch;from UC-Berkeley a database focused on Mexican-American, Chicano and the broader Latino experience; indexes more than 2,000 journals; subjects strengths include art, bilingual education, history, labor, language, literature, mental health and politics.
CLASE and Periodica
FirstSearch; CLASE indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences and the humanities; Periodica covers journals specializing in science and technology. Together these indexes offer access to more than 400,000 citations from documents published in 2,600 scholarly journals published in the Spanish, Portuguese, French and English languages.

The single most important access point to full-image traditional book titles supporting academic research. Provides access to the full-text of more than 40,000 current imprint titles-- books published since 1990. Approximately 50% of the titles are social sciences (including education and business); about 30% of titles are related to the humanties.

Browsing does not have a time limit; checkouts are for two hours, and require that a free account be established. All netLibrary titles are indexed in FirstSearch

HarpWeek is the full-text and full-image reproductions of Harpers Weekly. There is a searchable database which offers several different ways to access the material. The database introduction and help pages are excellent. The vendor also provides Finding Aids for some of the most common areas of interest--e.g. Geography, Literary Genre, Occupation or Role in Society and so on.

Humanities E-Book Collection   aka History E-Book Collection
This began life as the History E-Book Project, but in the summer of 2007 the ACLS American Council of Learned Societies recognized that the project had in fact expanded beyond the confines of history. The name was changed and the holdings were expanded to more than 1,500 titles in history, art, literature, and other humanities areas.

MedlinePLUS: Health Information
MedlinePlus is a specialized subset of MEDLINE, which focuses on consumer health information. This database provides consumer health information about drugs and supplements, a medical encyclopedia, a dictionary, and other information culled from US government publications.

PAIS: Public Affairs Information Service
In July of 2005 OCLC sold this database to Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, the number of titles indexed has been reduced from more than 2,000 to just over 1,000.
PAO Full-Text Collection
PAO: Periodical Archives Online [formerly PCI] covers 37 key subject areas in the humanities and social sciences; it contains the contents of 400 journal runs, providing access to over 8 million article pages. It has digitized important scholarly titles but also includes journals of historical interest that began publication in the 19th century, for example, Edinburgh Review, which was first published in 1802.
Project MUSE
This database contains the complete texts with all graphics, footnotes, and references of all JHUP journals. Beginning in 2001 additional titles from more than 100 prestigious scholarly and university presses have been added for a total of more than 370 high quality academic journals. The project focuses on humanities & social science titles, but also publishes journals dealing with the history of science.
Proquest Research Library
General periodical index; contains citations and full-image materials for both academic [e.g. Ecology] and popular [e.g. Earthwatch] titles. Indexes more than 2000 titles. More than 900 journals in this edition of the database are full image (PDF) files which provide true full-text information (graphics, tables, and so on).
PsycARTICLES
FirstSearch; an online database containing more than 42,500 searchable full-text articles from 49 peer reviewed journals published by the APA and allied organizations from 1988 to the present. Be aware that PsycArticles does not replace the indexing provided through PsycINFO_1887; this index provides indexing to all major psychological journals back to 1887.

SocINDEX with Full Text 
Sociology, Social Work and Criminology are the focus of this database. Covered in less depth and limited to journals with a social policy focus are titles in Political Science, Public Administration, Geography, and Economics. 816 journals identified and selected by the American Sociological Association are indexed cover-to-cover, another 630 journals are "priority" indexed. More than 500 of these journals are available in full text through this database. In addition, access is provided to nearly 7,000 full-text conference papers and more than 720 books.
SportDiscus with Full Text
The SPORTDiscus covers both serial and monographic literature in the following areas of sport: recreation, exercise physiology, sports medicine, coaching, physical fitness, the psychology, history and sociology of sport. 70% of the database consists of periodical articles.
TESO: Teatro Espanol del Siglo Oro
TESO is a full-text database which contains the most important dramatic works of sixteenth and seventeenth century Spain. It contains more than 800 plays by 16 dramatists.

Wiley InterScience
Full-image of more than 300 journals, citations, indexing and tables of contents for more than 100 additional titles. Confusingly, Wiley purchased and brought online Blackwell serials titles under the InterScience interface in July of 2008. This added tables of contents for an additional 1200 titles, HOWEVER UTPB has no access to the full-text of these titles and these is no way to discern which titles were originally published by Wiley and thus accessible to our users and those which were published by Blackwell and are NOT accessible to our users.
