| Understanding Science | Launched in January 2009, Understanding Science, a free-access Internet resource funded by the National Science Foundation, is a great site for gaining a better understanding of all kinds of science. Produced by the University of California's Museum of Paleontology at Berkeley, content is created, monitored, and assessed by a Teacher Advisory Board and a Project Advisory Board, both staffed by highly qualified professionals. The site contains three main sections: Understanding Science 101 (with eight subsections discussing various aspects of science), For Teachers (grouped by grade level from K-16), and Resource Library (containing FAQs, tips/guides, and links to other sources). FYI: content for grades 13-16 in the For Teachers section is not currently as strong as for the lower grades. |
