The Beazley Archive the premier online source of serious scholarly research in classical art and archaeology; collections consist of Pottery Database, Englarged Gems and Cameos, Sculpture Database, Antiquaria Database, and Inscriptions on Athenian Pottery, c.625-300 BC. Included are a dictionary of terms, bibliographies, an album function (that can be slow) that can retain specific images for users' reference, time lines, and links to related resources.

The Battle of Britain History Site  Britain's "Finest Hour" and period of greatest danger in the 20th century was the July-October 1940 aerial battle that followed Dunkirk.
British History Online star  The University of London's Institute for Historical Research and the History of Parliament Trust developed this digital library. The majority of the sources are from the 17th to 19th centuries, but the Victoria County History volumes included in the collection contain a significant amount of information about medieval local history.
British Newspapers 1800-1900 blue star  Originally part of the British Museum's Collect Britain: Penny Illustrated Papers exhibit; the exhibit was rewritten as part of this new site. More difficult to navigate than the original, the site still contains unparalleled access to 19th century British newspapers.

Naval-History.net  an extensive amount of reference information on naval history, with a concentration on WW I, WW II, and the Falklands War; primary focus is the Royal Navy and British maritime history, but the site does provide information on other combatants
Nazi and East German Propaganda  CHOICE Outstanding Site  Obviously the work of a dedicated scholar, this ongoing, frequently updated Web site makes a meaningful contribution to the study of the subject.
